BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
Established Glass & Double Glazing Company (PVCu, Hardwood & Aluminium) Supply & Fit
Ref.GK214
Location Cheshire
Asking Price £ 675,000
This very well established and respected business was set up back in the early 1970s and supplys and installs a high quality range of double glazed windows, doors and conservatories to, in the main, the domestic market. The majority of units are uPVC, however the business also has the ability to provide hardwood and aluminium based products such is its in house capability.

The company serves the middle end of the market and has excellent supply agreements in place with reputable leading profile companies. The business is FENSA registered, is a long standing member of the Glass and Glazing Federation, and is an approved contractor with the Government endorsed TrustMark scheme.

The business provides a complete turnkey solution from initial specification, through supply, installation and final commissioning. It has expanded its offering in recent years and can now provide a fully comprehensive range of products and services that includes:

• Replacement double glazed units
• Doors including patio doors, french doors
• Conservatories
• Porches
• Glass
• Glazing repairs
• Guttering and downpipes
• Bargeboards, cladding, fascias and soffits

Most installations are for domestic properties. The company deals direct with the public and also does commercial work for various housing associations (approx 35% of current business levels) which it has contracts in place for. It also undertakes a small ammount of trade sales and provides a while-u-wait glass cutting service.

All products are installed by full time members of staff. The business does not use sub contract installation companies. The business has literally thousands of satisfied clients on its database and serves Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire.

Expansion Potential
Whilst the business has consistently achieved sales of circa £350,000 p.a. over the last few years the business has spare capacity within its current infrastructure and could easily accommodate a significant increase in sales. This could be done by appointing an external salesman, something the company has not utilised to date. It could also look to develop the commercial side of the business further and expand the site itself.

The freehold site itself is also prime for expansion (spare capacity) or redevelopment for that matter such is its location.

Market / Competition / Non-Competition Agreements
The business undertakes a small level of advertising within trade press and directories. It has also developed its own in-house website and does its own search engine optimisation very successfully. Last year the website had circa 18,000 page views. It also carries out leaflet drops from time to time to ensure the brand remains strong. The premises are very high profile with good signage.
